Habitat
This large white paper tree hides seven small white birds among its branches, so close in colour to the leaves that they are easy to miss. After moving to Singapore, I noticed one tree filling with birds every evening. They crowded together, played, and each found its own small space. I felt a bit like them, longing for a place to rest and belong. Yet when space is scarce and everyone is searching, it can become hard to breathe. This work speaks of our longing for shelter, belonging, and a little space of our own.
